Liasoft GmbH (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates covdbg and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Data We Collect

Account Information

When you purchase a license, we collect your name, email address, company name (if applicable), and billing information. This data is necessary to provide our services and process payments.

Payment Processing (Merchant of Record)

We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record for processing payments. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects and processes your payment information, billing address, and related transaction data on our behalf. Paddle acts as the seller of record and handles all payment-related compliance, including VAT/sales tax.

As a separate data controller, Paddle has its own privacy practices. Please review Paddle’s Privacy Policy to understand how they collect, use, and protect your personal data during the purchase process.

License Validation Data

When the software validates your license and obtains a lease, we collect the following client information:

  • Hostname
  • System architecture (e.g., AMD64)
  • Number of CPU cores
  • CPU model
  • Client software version

This data is used to enforce license terms (such as seat limits for floating licenses) and to provide technical support.

Open Source licenses only: For Open Source licenses, we additionally collect the Git remote URL of your project. This is used to verify eligibility for the Open Source license program. This information is not collected for paid commercial licenses.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our products. This includes feature usage patterns, error reports, and performance metrics. No source code or coverage data is transmitted to our servers.
