We build tools for C++ developers on Windows.
covdbg is made by Liasoft. We built it to measure coverage with the Windows binaries we already had.
Where covdbg comes from
We needed it ourselves.
We write C++ for Windows. The coverage tools we tried either wanted changes to the build, did not handle MSVC well, or cost more than a small team could justify.
So we wrote a tool that takes the binary as it is, reads the PDB, and measures coverage while the program runs. That started as an internal helper and grew into covdbg.
Today game studios, embedded teams, engineering organizations, and open source projects use covdbg. Public repositories are free.

Run covdbg with your existing binary and matching PDB files. Start with a coverage run, then adjust the configuration as you need it.
Accurate reports
We test covdbg on its own code and use the results to check and improve its coverage measurements.
Fair pricing
Free for public repositories and one private repository at a time per person. Teams pay per developer, with prices listed on the website.
Open source
Supporting open source projects.
covdbg is free on every public repository. There is no form to fill in: sign in once and public repositories are covered. Projects that need seats and CI tokens for a public codebase can ask for a grant through the open source program.
We publish our documentation and release notes openly. Contact our support team to open a ticket for questions, bugs, or feature requests.
