End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you and Liasoft GmbH for the use of covdbg software.

1. License Grant

Subject to the terms of this EULA and payment of applicable fees, Liasoft grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use covdbg on computers owned or controlled by you, in accordance with your license tier.

Open Source License

Free for use on open source projects with no concurrency limits. Requires public repository and OSI-approved license.

Home License

Perpetual floating license for personal and non-commercial use.

Commercial License

Perpetual floating license for commercial use on proprietary codebases.

All paid licenses are perpetual with one year of maintenance included. Licenses can be purchased as an auto-renewing subscription for convenience.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the software except as expressly permitted
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Rent, lease, or lend the software to third parties
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the software to develop a competing product
  • Circumvent any licensing or copy protection mechanisms

3. Intellectual Property

covdbg and all copies thereof are proprietary to Liasoft and title remains with Liasoft. All rights not specifically granted in this EULA are reserved by Liasoft.

4. Updates and Support

All paid licenses include one year of maintenance (updates and technical support). You can use any covdbg build with a timestamp within your maintenance period. Maintenance can be renewed annually or purchased as an auto-renewing subscription.

5. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LIASOFT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

6. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL LIASOFT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

7. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this EULA. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the software.

8. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
